The bottoms are super cute! If between sizes definitely size up! When the strings stretch the beads space out a little so slightly looser would look better. Cheeky coverage, but not terrible for family trips! I got a medium and I normally wear between 4-6 in jeans. Large would have probably been slightly better but they might stretch out
